Thunder Pros prepare to scare at the haunted house

The Colorado Springs Thunder continued their community support even before the season began, as they recently volunteered their time at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo annual Halloween event, attended by more than 10,000 kids.

At the Thunder booth both kids and adults alike learned about inline hockey, PIHA and the Thunder, and also received free skating passes courtesy of Skate City, and ticket coupons for upcoming Thunder home games at the Tour Arena.

In addition, Thunder management, coaches and players also helped run the haunted house, dressed up as scary characters, including a mad scientist and crazy chef, and handed out candy to visitors.

On a cold and rainy Saturday, October 11, members of the Colorado Springs Thunder made a trip to the Westcott fire station in Monument, Colorado to take part in an annual fight to keep kids fit. 

Colorado Springs, Colo. –– Building on the success of this year’s inaugural Junior PIHA season, the 2009 season will run from June 1 through October 15.
